Volunteer with BTW
and join the team!
Gain experience in diverse fields of work!
Step 1: Sign Up for a Team
Choose one, or more, of the BTW teams you want to volunteer for. Make sure you read over the description of what each volunteer for their specific team's role is so you choose the team(s) best fit for you! Complete the registration form for the team(s) you would like to volunteer for in the next section.
Step 2: Receive Your Acceptance, Role, & Responsibilities
After we receive and review your volunteer registration, you'll receive an acceptance email along with your assigned role and responsibilities. Join the Google Classroom using the code we provide you with to receive updates, announcements, opportunities, etc.
Step 3: Carry out tasks as assigned & stay dedicated
Upon completing steps 1 and 2, begin carrying out your role whether it be sending emails and networking, curating content and media, or coordinating and planning fundraiser events.
Outreach Ambassadors
As an Outreach Ambassador, you will be expected to contact outside organizations such as news outlets, local papers, or apply for award opportunities. You should also contact schools or people who may be interested in becoming a volunteer or starting a BTW chapter and apply for company grants, features, and event partnerships or collaborations. Your ultimate goal is to tract engagement and shine a light on BTW, spreading acknowledgment and gaining recognition for BTW. This can also be done by going to school events and spreading awareness. You will be working under our Public Relations Ambassador.
Content Creator
As a Content Creator, you will be expected to create social media content for our social media accounts (Tiktok, Instagram, LinkedIn). Drive community engagement by developing posts that our socials can use to grow on various platforms. This is mostly in the realm of curating relatable/inviting tiktoks and reels that would help us grow and find more volunteers/chapter leaders who are interested in joining or supporting our mission. You will be working under our Social Media Manager.
Fundraising Staff
As a Fundraising Staff member, you will have the ability to help hold fundraisers and brainstorm new ideas for these events, while also promoting awareness on ongoing crises to donors. Whether it be a bake sale or a sports tournament, you will be ensuring that events run smoothly, providing supplies and support, and helping to raise money for our GoFundMe of the month! You will be working under our Event Coordinator if you go to BTHS or reside in Brooklyn/Manhattan, NY. If not, you are welcome to create your own chapter of BTW at your school and hold your own fundraisers wherever you are located.
